About the Bakery
My name is Pauline Marino, and I am originally from France. After moving to the United States several years ago, I decided to bring with me one of the things that has always been closest to my heart: French baking.
Cooking has always been a passion of mine, but pastry has a special place in my life. There is something deeply satisfying about transforming simple ingredients into beautiful, handcrafted desserts that bring people together. Every cake, tart, pastry, or loaf of bread I make is prepared with the same care and attention I would give if I were serving my own family.
Through this bakery, I hope to share a small piece of French culture here in Oregon, where quality, patience, craftsmanship, and respect for ingredients have always been at the heart of traditional baking.
I also believe that food is about much more than simply eating.
Modern life has become incredibly fast. We rush from one obligation to the next, rely on convenience, and often forget where our food comes from or how it is made. Somewhere along the way, many of the simple habits that once contributed to a healthy and fulfilling life have slowly disappeared.
I believe that a richer life begins by returning to some of those fundamentals: taking our time, preparing food from scratch, growing what we can, choosing quality over convenience, and making space for our health, our families, and our own well-being.
This isn't about chasing perfection or rejecting modern life. It's about rediscovering the value of slowing down, appreciating craftsmanship, and reconnecting with the simple pleasures that have nourished people for generations.
Whether intentionally or not, our society has moved away from many of these principles. My bakery is my own small way of moving in the opposite direction.
Every product I sell is made individually by hand.
I carefully select ingredients that I would genuinely choose for myself and my family. Whenever possible, I use organic ingredients, European chocolate renowned for its quality, fresh milk and eggs sourced from local farms, and carefully selected butter, fruit, nuts, and vanilla.
My breads are naturally fermented with sourdough, and part of the flour is freshly milled at home from whole grains just before baking to preserve both flavor and nutritional value.
Nothing is mass-produced. There are no industrial shortcuts. Every dessert, every loaf, and every pastry receives the time it deserves.
This approach requires considerably more time, care, and higher-quality ingredients than industrial production, but I believe the difference can be tasted in every bite.
Thank you for visiting my bakery.
